The Bikini Spiders (1949)
This is another lovely containment system that housed many organisms from the giant spider infestation on the Atomic islands off the coast of Oregon.

While the atomic tests were being conducted on the Bikini islands, few knew of the the Bikini tests that we're being conducted on the Atomic islands. During WWII, Government labs has been experimenting with brightly colored fabrics that could visually disorient any viewer.  The US clad 7,500 Marines in bikini's and had them doing visual tests on the tiny Islands not far from the lovely coastal town of Bend, Oregon.

Shortly after the colorful bikini assault on the beach head, huge confused spiders emerged from the jungle forcing villagers into the ocean on make shift rafts and party boats. Several specimens were caught by the department of defense and we're bought by the Museum at a
government auction in 1995 for $19.95.
